freelance writing + recipe development |

I’m a freelance writer and recipe developer. I cook a lot, eat a lot, and type a lot. Not a bad life.
The way I see it, my job is to make people happy and full, both physically and mentally. I hope to educate my readers on how cooking, eating, and living a healthy lifestyle can coincide. I write for many local, regional, and national publications, including Sunset Magazine, Seattle Weekly (both for print and for SW's food blog, Voracious), Seattle Magazine, Seattle Homes & Lifestyles, Seattle Metropolitan, and Arthritis Today. Before moving to Seattle, I was contributing food editor at Cape Cod Magazine. My work has also appeared in The Boston Globe and The Cape Cod Times, and on epicurious.com. Click here for a list of my most recent publications. This year, I'm working on a project: I'm writing a recipe every day for all of 2007, and posting it on my blog, hogwash. I graduated from Middlebury College and The Cambridge School of Culinary Arts. I hold the IACP's Certified Culinary Professional designation. Before moving to Seattle, I spent four years working as a personal chef, writing, and testing recipes for cookbooks. |
